Classic Boat Works - Classic
Boat Works, started out refinishing boats (primarily catboats and
other classic crafts) to pristine condition. The owner, Christian
Mele spent his childhood summers sailing catboats on Barnegat Bay.
It seems only fitting that this New Jersey based company currently
sells new and used Catboats. People call Classic Boat Works because
they know we specialize in new and used Catboats. These boats are
excellent for anyone wanting to experience the joy of sailing a
craft with traditional lines and classic charm (not to mention
excellent performance!). We are now a dealer of Holby Marine's 17'
Bristol Skiff, we feel this traditionally styled skiff complements
are current line of classic sailboats. The catboat is a craft
dating back to the 1800's. During the Catboat's years of existence
it has been a work boat, racer, cruising boat, and family daysailer.
Although many think of Catboats as a New England icon, the earliest
documented example of the catboat we know today is "Una" a
16'6" boat built in what is now Bayonne, New Jersey. Una was
built in 1852 by Robert Fish and was later shipped to England and
sailed in Hyde Park. Christian is committed to customer service.
Each boat is personally delivered to your home (some restrictions
apply). At the owner's request he will rig, launch, and go for a
test sail. After the sale it is the service that counts; Christian
stands behind each boat he sells. 1999 was an exciting year for
Classic Boat Works, we delivered eight new 14' Classic Cats and
successfully brokered five used Cats. For 2000 we are anxiously
anticipating deliver of a new 17' Catboat from Compass Classic
Yachts' and ten 14' Classic Cats. We are also actively working on
brokering more used boats. We are very excited to now carry the 17'
Bristol Skiff. There are many powerboats on the market, we chose the
Bristol Skiff for it's traditional lines and functionality.

What exactly is 1stAboard.com? 1stAboard
was created in an effort to provide the best possible price to vehicle
transport customers by creating a service which allows multiple auto and
boat transporters to compete for loads in a single location. When you post
a vehicle for transport, depending on the location, time frame, type of
vehicle, and other circumstances, your load will accommodate one carrier's
current runs better than another. For example, if you
want your vehicle hauled from Chicago to Miami, there might be a
transporter on the board looking to fill a carrier which needs one more
car. This company will offer you a lower price to get your vehicle. Or you
may post a boat for transport from Florida to Maine. There might be a boat
hauler on the board who needs to get back to dispatch, loaded or not, so
they will offer a lower rate to secure your load. There
are many factors when determining the price of relocating a vehicle, by
having a group of transporters with various circumstance bidding for your
quote, there is a greater chance of receiving the best price
possible. |
